I am sitting down here in my new studio; grateful to have a space I can call a room of my own. Ever since I read Virginia Wool’f’s essay A Room of One’s Own, I realized how important it is to have a physical as well as an intellectual space to create. In her essay, Woolf addresses the need for creative women to have an education, time, money, space, and personal liberty to create art.
